After triple talaq was given in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, the victim woman reached the police station to plead for justice for the arrest of her accused husband. The matter is of Aurai police station of the district. Where four years ago the accused husband had given triple talaq to his wife over phone. In this case, the victim has now reached the office of SSP Rakesh Kumar demanding the arrest of the accused husband.
According to the information, even after a case of triple talaq was registered in Muzaffarpur, no action was taken against the accused. For this reason the victim is pleading for justice. Regarding this matter, the victim met City SP Awadhesh Saroj Dixit on Tuesday and pleaded for justice. She has demanded early arrest of the accused husband.
Actually, Rabia Khatoon, a resident of Maheshsthan, Aurai, has been facing the brunt of triple talaq for the last two years. Rabia and her parents are appealing to the police in the hope of justice. Rabia had filed a case in the women’s police station in the year 2023, accusing her husband, mother-in-law and brother-in-law of pressurizing her to give triple talaq and get Halala done. But the lax attitude of the police is troubling Rabia and her family.
Rabia alleged that even after coming from abroad, the accused is roaming freely. But despite the complaint, the police is not arresting him. Rabia’s marriage took place in 2018 in Maheshstan, Aurai. It was from Nasruddin. Everything was fine for some time after marriage. Meanwhile, Rabia also had a son. After this, she started protesting against her husband having an affair with another girl.
She told that due to the opposition, her husband went for a job abroad without informing her. Stayed there and continued working. Meanwhile, Rabia had an argument with him over the phone regarding some issue. After that her husband gave her triple talaq on social media app WhatsApp. Rabia was stunned to hear the audio clip of triple talaq and informed her family about the incident.
Since then the Panchayat met several times regarding the matter. But due to pressure from the accused party, even after two years, Rabia did not see any hope from anywhere. After that, after getting tired, the victim Rabia approached the court of law and got the case registered. Now, due to the lax attitude of the police, the victim met the SP and pleaded for justice and demanded action. The victim Rabia said that the accused should be caught soon, so that he cannot run away. It is noteworthy that even after making strict laws regarding triple talaq in the country, the process of giving triple talaq is still going on.
